Enlighten-Action for Epilepsy launched the Epilepsy Awareness month(March) this year at the Star Ferry in Hong Kong.
The event was attended by our Honorary Patron, Mrs. Anson Chan as well as our supporters and our beneficiaries.

Enlighten- Action for Epilepsy is truly honoured to be the charity beneficiary of the Rugby World Cup Final- Long Lunch Beerfest held on 23rd October, 2011 at the IRC, Hong Kong.
It was a truly fun-filled day for the whole family!

ten – Action for Epilepsy is truly honoured and thankful to be one of the beneficiaries(for the sixth time!) of the annual 24 hour Charity Race fund raising event organised by Hebe Haven Yacht Club.
On the day of the event, while the races were on, (though the waters were rough as it was right after a typhoon), we joined the big bazaar family by setting up an awareness and game stall in the bazaar village on the shore. It is truly a meaningful moment when everybody in the village plays different roles aimed towards the same goal of supporting a charity.
Enlighten-Action for Epilepsy wants to make a difference. Without you- the many kids who joined us at the game stall; the Enlighten volunteers who support our cause; the families of those affected by epilepsy who participated despite the hassle of bad traffic due to the rain; the generous donors and of course, Hebe Haven Yacht Club, we wouldn’t be able to make the difference. So, thank you!!!

As a component of "The Sunflower Primary Schools Epilepsy Education Programme," and to further raise epilepsy awareness in primary schools of Hong Kong, we launched the inter-primary schools competition in September 2011.
The competition encouraged primary students to capture the images that best illustrate social harmony and touching moments.
We were overwhelmed with the response and the esteemed judges had a tough time selecting the winners.
The short-listed entries were showcased in the photography exhibition from 6 to 17th of January and the awards ceremony was held on 14th of January. Mrs. Anson Chan, our honorary patron was the chief guest of the ceremony and gave away the prizes.
Five students received merit prizes while five others were given special prizes, "Judge's Choice Awards."
We thank Dymocks, A-Link(the venue),The Education Bureau and Hong Kong Institute of Professional Photographers (HKIPP)and the esteemed judges for supporting us!

March is "Epilepsy Awareness Month" in Hong Kong. This March we launched the "Paint the Town Purple" campaign timed to the epilepsy awareness month as well as the start of Enlighten-Action for Epilepsy's 10th anniversary.
Lavender (Purple) is the colour that is universally associated with epilepsy and hence Enlighten's hope to paint the town purple and build the awareness. The campaign will be an integral part of Enlighten's epilepsy advocacy movement and will run from March 2012 to March 2013.
This campaign is aimed to garner support from the local community including retail outlets to build epilepsy awareness.
Purple Day is a globally recognised movement celebrated on March 26 to build epilepsy awareness. Enlighten-Action for Epilepsy was proud to be Purple Day's official Hong Kong partner. On Purple Day we got support from various corporates, NGOs and schools to raise awareness.
